Keith & Kristyn Getty, Stuart Townend, and their team, as well as Bob Kauflin of Sovereign Grace Music[1], are doing their best to revive hymns in the classical style (Bible-based, theologically deep words in multiple verses, often with contemporary-style tunes), to counteract the dominance of today’s worship by short chorus-like songs, many of which are theologically shallow and experience-based.

As much as I love some of the contemporary songs (and of course, the Scipture in Song choruses of the 1970s still feed my soul), this project really resonates with me.

On this page I will begin to collect some of those hymns; there are currently 11 songs, and more songs will be added as time permits.
